The writing is only one facet of it anyway; I don't think I'd remotely enjoy going to a PJ show and watching another guitar player solo through "Even Flow" or pick out the opening riff to "Given to Fly." It wouldn't be right. His individual contributions may not tower as high as the other members, but he's part of the overall dynamic--take him out and there's no guarantee the other guys would be towering so high either. THIS Plus, I like Inside Job live. Definitely creates a nice mood. And, Marker is one of the best songs this band has created post-Riot Act. Without actually ranking them all, I'd say Ed & Stone are the two most important members. |
