Also, I REALLY wish Pearl Jam would do something with the Foldback/Harmony instrumentals from Touring Band DVD. Those songs could be amazing.

Could be? They already are amazing. Why does more need to be done to them?

Well, I'd really love to hear Eddie add some vocals and make it a proper Pearl Jam song. It just sounds like it has the potential to be a great song.

I also think Thunderclap could be awesome with vocals.

Instrumentals aren't 'proper' songs?

I don't know are they? I just mean a real song they could put on an album or a Lost Dogs II compilation. The Foldback/Harmony instrumentals sound unfinished is all I'm saying. With some good vocals, there's potential for a huge song.

Also I get them confused, but I'm more referring to Harmony over Foldback. Foldback really sounds like it became Man of the Hour. But Harmony sounds like a Matt Cameron song. Could just be a huge rock song with some strong vocals.

The riff at 2:40 gives me chills, sounds like it'd make for a classic song.

The TB2K instrumentals are fine the way they are. If you want vocals, sing over them yourself when you listen to them.

Its funny how Brother without vocals sounds unfinished, but those 3 instrumentals don't really need much else. I'd love to hear the band record cool stuff like that and have that be considered the X-mas single. It doesn't have to be a full-fledged production. If I were sent a 45 with Stone or Mike just noodling around, playing cool riffs with some percussion from Matt in the background, I'd be a happy camper.

Yeah, those songs are definitely complete and proper, and would fit on a rarities compilation just fine as is.

I used to think they needed vocals, cause if they had melodies and were included on Binaural? Good God that would've been an even stronger record. But when you watch the montages on the DVDs, and then listen to some of the sparse instrumental stuff they added to Immagine in Cornice, you realize they can create really good stuff without vocals when want to.

I used one of them as the hidden track on my alternate Binaural.

Hah, I do try to sing over them. There's alot of good melodies that could go over them. I think Eddie could do a much better job though

I have probably listened to Falling Down 20 times in the last 2 days, I've got to hear the rest of this show.

Well, it's great. It's such a blast to hear these songs in this quality.

But...it reminds me that I don't often get the same feeling from the band these days. They don't often just jam out a roughly formed largely improvised new song at the drop of a hat or a radical rearrangement of an old favourite.

I know things change and I still like the band and who they are today, but I'm not sure I like them as much as I like THESE guys.
