He got the year wrong for the Pearl Jam show that reconnected him with the band - it's clearly the first Irvine show in 2003 (not Santa Barbara 2006 or wherever he's said it was before):

I finally saw the Foo Fighters documentary yesterday.
It was really good - and I'm not even that interested in their music after the debut. So much more satisfying than the Pearl Jam film.
it isn´t better, it´s just different, but it feels like a behind the music thing...i thought it was ok, the best thing may be the whole drummer thing and the other guitar player stuff there

Why do people say the Foo Fighters documentary was like a 'Behind the Music' episode?
That makes it sound like it was some kind of dirt-digging, drama-heightening exercise. It didn't come across that way to me at all, they just talked openly about things that happened - good and bad.
Does it have to be a throw-your-hands-in-the-air-oh-my-god-can't-believe-we-made-it celebration all the time? What's so frightening about talking about the bad stuff?

probably b/c the foos doc was way more dirt-digging and drama-heightening. and pj20 was always billed as a celebration of the band by their friend director.

its not that, it´s the approach they had in that movie...it felt like a vh1 doc type of thing.

i thought fans are 20 was just a bunch of interviews with pearl jam fans. I am beginning to think I was mistaken.

Nah, there's a ton of performances in there. RVM. They should shoot everything like that. No idea what tour it's from but it looks and sounds incredible.

Had two friends who are casual fans at best watch this on Netflix the other day. They both really enjoyed it and want to see the band live whenever they come back around these parts.
