Silly Ed. You don't have to count "12342" when you're standing on stage by yourself with a guitar.

Hey, never underestimate. Mike counts himself off at the beginning of Yield and he still screws up the riff.

I agree. Although the last Ed show I went to included accompaniments by Neil Finn and Roger Daltrey so that helped. Glad I chose Ed in London over PJ in Manchester.

the solo shows do attract the radical fringe of PJ fans though. This couple sitting next to me at an Eddie show just about ruined my experience.

I haven't had bad experiences at ed shows. But I saw Santa Cruz and St. Louis...I can imagine the east coast is pretty absurd ?

That girl was sitting directly behind me, 2 rows behind me, she actually got kicked out about halfway through. The couple sitting next to me was brutal though, they broke up, got back together, spilled 2 beers, the girl lost her engagement ring, and then got mad when I wouldnt stop watching the show to help her find it. The guy with her, the whole show, was singing the words to all the songs, off key and usually incorrect lyrics. It was a good show, but these distractions made it really hard to enjoy.

I had an annoying singer behind me as well. She was bragging to her friends about how "most people don't even know theses songs". I wanted to be like "bitch, this is an ed solo show, we all know the lyrics to Dead Man, you can shut up now"

I hate it when idiots yell out songs Ed clearly cant do by himself. Ive heard even flow. Ed can barely play the songs he writes

the girl in front of me literally got offended when the buddy I went with asked me what song it was when Eddie was playing Speed Of Sound.

This is not to say I wouldnt see a solo show again, I would, I'd just hope for better luck with the people around me. I would see a Pearl Jam show before an Eddie show all day though.

that, the price tag, and the fact that there are a ton of great bands coming through Austin right now make this one a skip for me.

the correct response would have been

"shut the fuck up you ugly cunt i wasnt talking to you"
