I'm surprised Backspacer gets so little love. Shocked. Angered. Hurt.
For the rest I'd say anything that gets over 90% puts it on a "best of" list for the band. You could do worse than grabbing all the 90% + songs in this thread and calling those Pearl Jam's "greatest". With Backspacer I'd take the songs that are above 60% as best in show. Again, is this just latest album hatred or do people really have a problem with Backspacer? I'm beginning to lean toward the latter. I suspect those that hate Backspacer find it paint by numbers and too easy. Like they weren't trying. To the casual fan or general rock fan I suspect it sounds like the best thing the band has ever done.
Of all the +90% songs the one I'm most dubious about is Parting Ways. I've never felt attached to that one. Then again I feel nothing for Jeremy and Even Flow too but I get why they score so highly. The one I'm most surprised to not see above the 90%+ threshold is Nothingman.
