I just heard this for the first time, what an amazing song.

This should have been a lost dog. The lyrics are so sad and Eds delivery is spot on, the music is also quirky in a good way.

no.

it should not have been a lost dog. NONE of the fan club singles should be on the lost dogs cd. What the fuck is the point of being in the club and getting a rare piece of music if they release it on cd for everybody to hear it.

nothing against you i'm just pissed that they did that.

The best thing about them, is not that non fan club members dont get to hear it, but they dont get to have it, and there not rare.

This is so good, I love the lines

''oh i'm so tortured cuz i see all
tortured, and all i cannot do
tortured, all i should have done
tortured, while i occupied a man''

Its kinda like a prelude to Present Tense albeit the lesson is learned to late.

Easily one of the band's best fan club originals. Simply beautiful.

IMO, one of the band's most overrated songs. I don't get why so many love it. I really don't care for it.

my favorite fan club song, although last soldier and let me sleep are close.

Porchball did a beautiful version of this in the pj cover contest.

i like all the overlaying harmonies and it sounds like ed put a lot of time into this song recording-wise. i love how he added the harmonies to "i'm not alooooooooooone" and how it overlaps into "Mine is not a celestial state ...". That moment brought to you by GooseBumps, Inc.
