Yield is such an awesome album...I can listen to it over and over and not even realize it, because I am engrossed in all of the songs. It is just so excellent.
Yeah, I've found that to be the case with me too, except for Pilate. That one always knocks me out of the trance the album puts me in.

Brilliant. It is my second favorite Pearl Jam album, and one of my top 10 by any band.
I like Pilate.

For me, it's right there next to Binaural with Binaural winning by just a bit.
It's a great overall record and it has some really catchy songs. I love the production on it as well.

Last saturday I was driving to school and it's about a 35 to 40 minute drive.
I popped Yield in to my CD Player and listened to the whole album from start to finish. I virtually never have the patience to do that anymore. I usually skip around and find the songs I want to hear and that's the end of it.
As I listened, I was blown away at how amaizing this record still is. I loved it when it first came out and then it fell off the charts in favor of newer stuff and a new love affair that I have been brewing with Ten.
Since then, I have not taken the disc out of my player in the car.
Anyone else "re-discover" this gem lately?
From Brian of J to Hummus, I take an emotional ride and fall in love with these songs in a new and incredibly beautiful way.
I have been playing All those Yesterdays virtualy non stop. That song has always been special for me anyway.

before that, I barely listened to Yield and thought of it as the worst PJ album after Riot Act...
now, It's my fav one after No Code

Great Album from start to finish imo I watched SVT the other day for the first time in a while.
Don't you think you oughtta rest?
Don't you think you oughtta lay you head down?
Don't you think you want to sleep?
Don't you think you oughtta lay your head down, tonight.
Don't you think you've done enough?
Oh, don't you think you've got enough? Well, maybe yea.
You don't think there's time to stop.
There's time enough for you to lay your head down, tonight.
Tonight.
Maybe it'll wash away all those yesterdays.
What are you running from? Taking pills to get along. Creating walls to call your own. So no one catches you drifting off and doing all the things that we all do. Oh, let it wash away all those yesterdays.
All those yesterdays. (All those yesterdays. All those yesterdays.)
All those paper plates. (All those yesterdays. All those yesterdays.)
You've got time. You've got time to escape.
There's still time. It's no crime to escape.
It's no crime to escape.
There's still time so escape. It's no crime, crime...
All those yesterdays.

I am glad you are getting into it, its great great music
I loved it from the start, but if fell out of heavy rotation after Live on 2 Legs and the 98 tour boots came rolling in. I never stopped liking it, I can only describe it by comparing my revalation to bumping into an old friend and re-capturing the magic of old times.

Start to finish I think it's their best album, and it's still my favorite. It also came out at the time that I was transitioning from being a big Pearl Jam fan to being an obsessive Pearl Jam fan, and Yield played no small part in that change. I could write for the next hour about all that I was going through in the first months of 1998 and how this album was a part of it, but I'll spare you all (and actually do some work instead).

This album made me forgive them for fucking me on tickets to Toledo in 1996.

Yield was the first Pearl Jam album I bought... Kinda the one that introduced me to the band. So, I still like the album alot, although I haven't listened to it for probably almost a year.

I agree completely. For a couple of years now there hasn't passed a week without me listening to the album.
it's constantly in my cd player, and i never get sick of it. from start to finish, it's just perfect. other albums i'll skip songs here and there, but this album i go right through.
the album version of low light is unreal as is the version of in hiding. and between brain of j, no way, given to fly, and DTE, it's a rocker of a cd.
