In Hiding is the greatest song ever.
1 of 2 songs i skip on Yield. (Pilate, In Hiding)
Good music, lame vocal melody.
How can you skip In Hiding but not Wishlist?
I do also like Pilate but I can see where you are coming from there.
Yield was the first PJ album I owned and still my favorite to this day.
Wishlist is lame but beautiful in its ways. Nothing on it really annoys me. Pilate chorus destroys the song. Some A+ lyrics and music in the verses though.
To whoever commented about In Hiding. Its the opposite for me. I think the verse melody is sub par with a good chorus.
I don't think any of them are terrible songs though, not like the aforementioned "U".

Yield is like really good, friends
He's not lying. Maybe Red Dot could have been axed in favour of Whale Song. I mean if Mankind can make it on an album so can Whale Song.

I don't agree with that. Yield is like 2 big parts
Brain of J - Faithfull - No Way - Given To Fly - Wishlist - Pilate : fits together absolutely perfect
Red Dot - MFC - Lowlight - In Hiding - Push Me Pull Me - All Those Yesterdays : fits together absolutely perfect
The only thing that seems a little strange if you consider the album as one piece is Do the Evolution. I mean, it's a fantastic song and it fits the album theme perfectly, but musically, I don’t know. It kinda breaks the album in 2. And this is not Pilate's or Red Dot's fault in my opinion. But hey, still a 99/100 album.

I really don't understand the red dot hating. I think it gives Yield personality (a point that I drunkenly rambled on about in another thread last night). One other point though, I think having the "untitled" the band play live before MFC (as found on LOTL) on Yield would've worked too. Whether that's as well as or instead of red dot, I don't know.

Yeah, I mentioned in that other thread as well that I always considered Red Dot as an interlude on the album, an artificial way for the band to make a Side 1 and Side 2. Angus mentioned that he sees Yield being in two parts and I agree. I would include Evolution in Part 1, so...
Brain Of J, Faithfull, No Way, Given To Fly, Wishlist, Pilate, Evolution Dot as an interlude (flipping the record over in a way) MFC, Low Light, In Hiding, Push Me Pull Me, All Those Yesterdays
I think it works pretty well in this regard; it's short enough is to not be too disruptive, but it's bizarre enough that it makes a pretty clear dividing line, so when I think of songs on the album, I feel that they're either in Part 1 or Part 2. I probably wouldn't think that if Dot hadn't been there. PJ managed to make the experience of having two distinct sides to a record through that decision while working in the CD medium.

I think Red Dot is a definite part of the second side. I love how it passes into MFC. Really wouldn't want those 2 split apart. Even not for untitled.
