Poll!

So I take it by your inability to finish your review you were unable to continue due to the massive quality of what you were hearing, right? :D

Anyways, I speed-read through this thread, trying to pick up on stuff I've missed, and you are absolutely brutal. I'm worried you may be beyond help. Anyone who thinks that No Way is one of the worst rock choruses in history may be beyond my ability to defend it.

I think the thing about Yield is that it's not a concept album in the sense that it is telling a story. It's a concept album in that it is a conversation on similar themes. Whether it was planned or a happy accident, all the members contributed exactly what was needed, for the most part.

It was hard choosing a track in the poll, I love the album as a whole so much that I never gave much thought to choosing a fave.

I went with MFC, though. The song reminds me of sleeping on the sidewalk outside our local record store after Prom '98 to get tickets to the Barrie show. There were like 30 people doing the same thing, and someone had all the PJ albums blasting out of their car.

*wipes tear*

In some strange twist of inconsistency, No Way is my favorite song on this album, despite Given To Fly being my favorite Pearl Jam song of all time.

I would have voted Hummus.

The correct choice is In Hiding :)

I totally cannot believe I'm the only one to have voted Given To Fly so far. I'm this close to creating a hundred accounts just to get that corrected.

The poll is "favorite" not "best"

some people have favorites that they know are not really the best songs.

GTF is both, for everyone. Let's not discuss that. Thanks!

It was so hard to choose that I voted for No Way just to piss off stip.

Do the Evolution is clearly the correct answer here folks. It's a scientific fact that it's the best song on Yield.

Voted GTF. Apologies to Low Light, In Hiding, No Way, and Brain of J.

Which one's the worst?

I should say "least good/great" as I still enjoy DTE a lot and its tons of fun live. My bottom 3 Yield songs would be Wishlist, DTE, and PM,PM. I like all 3, but those are the only tracks I ever skip.

I picked In Hiding. But it was a close call with Brain Of J, Faithful, No Way, GTF, Wishlist, DTE, MFC, Low Light, Push Me/Pull Me and ATY.
