it's weird. I think the people who really love yield and binuaral love those records more than other people love their favorites

I think it may come off this way sometimes (at least in Binaural's case) that it's not as well regarded by others. Not everyone puts Vitalogy at the top of the totem pole, but I don't think you'll see many people that will deny it's genius and worth. Particularly with Binaural, you see many in discussions who will discount a good chunk of that album as being quality. I think that just naturally puts people in a place where they want to defend the work.

God...Yield is one insanely great album. It was almost impossible for me to seperate Do The Evolution and Given to Fly in the race for my favorite Yield song, but the studio version of DTE has been destroying me lately so I went with it.

does anyone else think Ed wrote Give to Fly about himself? that would take brass balls, but i think he did.

btw, im changing my vote to Push Me Pull Me because it deserves one vote.

I've had people exaplin to me that the main character is, in fact, jesus. But yes, certainly it could have been about Ed. This was a time of reconciliation for the band and Ed, finally coming to terms with what they were, what the band was, media attention and such. And indeed Push me pull me is deserving of a vote

Was listening to Yield this morning. Great album, might finally have reached the saturation point where I've overplayed it though.

It's pretty forgettable mid-90's stuff, but then so was Brain of J when they first played it live.
