Yield is such an awesome album...I can listen to it over and over and not even realize it, because I am engrossed in all of the songs. It is just so excellent.

....."Pilate" is weak,

its my favorite pj album as well, but i must say i'm not a big fan of Pilate.

For me, it's right there next to Binaural with Binaural winning by just a bit.

It's a great overall record and it has some really catchy songs. I love the production on it as well.

It never lost its luster to me. So, no.

Last saturday I was driving to school and it's about a 35 to 40 minute drive.

I popped Yield in to my CD Player and listened to the whole album from start to finish. I virtually never have the patience to do that anymore. I usually skip around and find the songs I want to hear and that's the end of it.

As I listened, I was blown away at how amaizing this record still is. I loved it when it first came out and then it fell off the charts in favor of newer stuff and a new love affair that I have been brewing with Ten.

Since then, I have not taken the disc out of my player in the car.

Anyone else "re-discover" this gem lately?

From Brian of J to Hummus, I take an emotional ride and fall in love with these songs in a new and incredibly beautiful way.

I have been playing All those Yesterdays virtualy non stop. That song has always been special for me anyway.

I am glad you are getting into it, its great great music

Start to finish I think it's their best album, and it's still my favorite.

Yield is my fave PJ album, slightly ahead of Vitalogy, its only blemish is the terrible chorus of Pilate.

Yeah, I've found that to be the case with me too, except for Pilate. That one always knocks me out of the trance the album puts me in.

Brilliant. It is my second favorite Pearl Jam album, and one of my top 10 by any band. I like Pilate.

went thru something similar to that one year ago or so... before that, I barely listened to Yield and thought of it as the worst PJ album after Riot Act... now, It's my fav one after No Code

I never stopped liking it, I can only describe it by comparing my revalation to bumping into an old friend and re-capturing the magic of old times.

this is the second cd i bought by pearl jam when it came out (10), and not 5 years later. given to fly will always be the song i identify this album with, but its great top to bottom.

Start to finish I think it's their best album, and it's still my favorite. It also came out at the time that I was transitioning from being a big Pearl Jam fan to being an obsessive Pearl Jam fan, and Yield played no small part in that change. I could write for the next hour about all that I was going through in the first months of 1998 and how this album was a part of it, but I'll spare you all (and actually do some work instead).

Yield was the first Pearl Jam album I bought... Kinda the one that introduced me to the band. So, I still like the album alot, although I haven't listened to it for probably almost a year.
