I do not like them.
I do not think they fit.

I think they are ba ba black sheepish, no?

mccready's solos are the confrontation that the band should have had

He doesn't close his eyes for NO reason, I don't think

don't you feel the wince?

I did not know that, but it makes sense. I mean he can play with the songs alright, but his solos....

and God capital G knows that I tried and tried to listen and listen and pretend even...

but I don't hear anything.

Sometimes he play really fast--Wooo.

But I just don't hear anything neat, ya know

Take "You are" for instance.

That whole beginning cool part, ya know, that 's all Stone friggin diggin into his guitar.

what you would think is Keyboard or synthesizer, is Stone's freakin guitar. and he's working it like a motor.

And then spotlight solo time comes and you hear a whine or an ass sound I think or/and maybe its really nothing at all.

It's like the elephant boil on Pearl Jam's face that nobody talks about. McCready's a great guy, and he plays guitar really excellent during the song parts, but the solos. WTF?

Shit, that's weird. I figured it would have been a story concerning Mike's addictions. He is indeed awesome on NAIS. Been listening to a lot of live versions from 2000

I really actually like when Mike gets all "Edge-like". Can't Keep, You Are, Army Reserve, Bushleaguer...love that style.

I do so like Nothing as it Seems!! Thank you! Thank you!

And I would listen in the rain, and I would listen on a train
And I would listen in a box, and I would listen with a fox
And I would listen in a house, I would listen with a mouse!

(Just read this book to my son 30 minutes ago)

I'm not bothered about Mikes solos but last night I listened to Alive from Dublin 2006.

The very best, most powerful version of that song I can remember hearing. It's huge and Cready is on fire. Playing like he did back in 92/93. It's really something.
