Several of the acts on the Vote For Change Tour are now involved in a new campaign - to fund renewable-energy programs in the states they performed in on the tour. According to Rolling Stone Online, artists participating in the drive include Pearl Jam, R.E.M., the Dave Matthews Band, and Bonnie Raitt.

The campaign is being spearheaded by Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard and his fiancee, who is a consultant for environmentally friendly construction projects. The artists have donated $80,000 of their own money so far. They also donated a solar hot water and electric power system to Family Center agencies in Madison, Wisconsin, and a solar-powered hurricane shelter to a high school in Florida.
