I love when Ed cops a snippet of a lyric from a band or artist he likes. I love the "nothing is everything" section of I'm Gone. Clearly a Pete T. lyric. I love(d) The Who (can't stomach 'em very much any more), but still love the reference. Are there other lyrics in this vain that you guys like?

i actually really hate when he (or anyone) does that. I didn't like it in Love Boat Captain, and even when it was his own lyrics (1/2 full stealing stuff from Porch) I didn't like it. It's lazy. Not metallica Unforgiven II lazy, but still lazy

I'm with ya. I enjoy tags to songs, but blatantly ripping off lyrics, even your own old ones, and putting them in new songs is quite lazy.

I personally like it when Eddie rips off "Porch" lyrics in "1/2 Full". It's something that a casual listener of PJ would pick up on, so I almost feel like he is putting it in there for the more involved fans. What I've heard and read about Eddie, I don't think he is lazy when it comes to writing lyrics (well, except maybe "U", haha).
