I liked your review, but i don't like how i dissed thin air. Thats possibly one of my favorite songs on that album

Thin Air is beautiful.

a great album with a bad tracklisting the album doesnt flow at all.

Play with the tracklisting add in a couple of Lost Dog songs and you have a brilliant dark spacey album.

BINUARAL

of the girl
breakerfall
god's dice
sad
light years
thin air
insignifigance
fatal
grievance
rival
nothing as it seems
soon forget
parting ways

sleight of hand is one of my favorite songs pj-wise.

then breakerfall & parting ways both give me intense vibes, if on different ends of the spectrum.

i like it a lot. a lot of people don't because they don't like the production, but even if i thought the same i can overlook it because of the great music i like off it.

what is it about the production that you dont like???................Tchad Blake was gunned down hard after his effort on this....................production wise, i absolutley love it...........its probably a big reason as to why i love this album so much...............the drum sound is amazing, and the darkness of "Nothing As It Seems" has not been captured outside the studio.................

This album is pure magic with headphones. Even the "bad" songs sound great with them.

I think it is better like this. As Sum 41 say "all killer no filler".

01 Nothing As it Seems
02 Breakerfall
03 Sad
04 Light Years
05 Insignificance
06 Of the Girl
07 Grievance
08 Sleight of Hand
09 Soon Forget
11 Parting Ways

The way i became a fan is kind of weird...i had ten then my cousin burned me riot act right when it came out and then i went to a live show and got hooked but i listened to a lot of the bootlegs before i ever went out and bought anything inbetween RA and Ten... so i dont have a favorite album at all but if i had a least favorite it certainly would not be binuaral by any means, much closer to the top.

If you want to have your mind warped,.... listen to binaural many times with your headphones correctly aligned, then after about the 10th time, switch the right headphone to your left ear and Visa Versa.

Something so simple has such an unbelievable impact, it's almost like listening to it again for the first

I agree totally. Ed's best lyrics, bar none, are on Binaural.

It's a well written album, but I've never gotten some of the lyrics in the first verse of light years

I've used hammers made out of wood, etc.

It always struck me as similar to Man on the Moon, but not quite as effective.

I'm always reading all these posts on PJ boards from people complainign about Binaural.

First of all, let me just say I'm not one of those fans that worships everything PJ has ever done. I have songs I love and others that I could take or leave.

That being said, I just can't figure out why there's so much dislike of Binaural? Personally, I feel it's a fanatasic album. The only track I really don't like all that much is Soon Forget and even that does it for me sometimes.

I've also heard people constantly bash particular tracks on that album that I happen to really like such as Evacuation and Gods' Dice. I especially like Gods's Dice, so that one really boggles my mind.

Does anyone have an explanation for me?

Most people are quite positive about it, a lot of us just think it is their weakest album.
