Not saying the song deserves it. But Ed does. Go Ed!

Why is Eddie dressed like someone who works for Nucky Thompson in that picture?

They don't have the Best Song nominees perform live throughout the show anymore, do they?

They didn't last year. Gotta make room to highlight the 700 Best Picture noms.

I can't wait for the moment Eddie Vedder and Justin Bieber shake hands. Hell, by that time Pearl Jam might need a new drummer.
Spoiler: show

yeah, it's a decent song, but oscar worthy?

Must have been a slow year.

when your competition is Justin Bieber, do you really care if you win or not?

i like the song though. maybe it will make up for him getting passed over last time.

I like it as an Eddie Vedder song, but Pearl Jam better not be putting shit like that on the next record.

Well Backspacer to me seemed like a band backing Eddie Vedder's second solo album, so we might get exactly that.

One or two slow Ed songs are expected on just about every album, but Stone's grunge riffs are where it's at. Mike, Jeff and Stone are like three peas in a pod these days.

Good song; hope he wins.

I also hope they go back to the format where the singers perform each nominated song.

(please don't just answer "yes".)

Its kind of ridiculous that they dont have the original artists perform the song anymore but the lady who won the best song oscar for Crash told me they insisted she put this production on for the song that she didnt even want and she then had to pay the production costs. Also elliott smith didnt want to perform at the awards so they told him if he didnt theyd just get someone to cover it so they can be kinda bastards about it.

It's all Ed except mandolin (Jacob Navarro) and extra strings and percussion by D.Sardy and Carla Azar according to the liner notes.
