This has just entered my top-5 Pearl Jam songs. Goodbye for now for Man of the Hour. NAIS is now pushing really hard to beat In My Tree at n° 4. Parting Ways, Present Tense and Given to fly are still high at the top. Exciting times ahead.
Let me reccomend to you some of the best songs from the early albums for your reconsideration----black, porch, release, indifference, small town, rvm, last exit, corduroy, immortaltiy, breath...

In my excel-document, the songs are also in a different color per album. But that's just taking me way too long.
Let's say until about 60, I really love the songs. From then on, I like em less and less. I already see songs who would be much higher (No Way, Red Mosquito) or much lower (Once), but it's just my opinion on one certain day in December (with the NAIS change included)

It's a beautiful song.
It wouldn't be number 1 for me, but it's be up there and I certainly wouldn't argue with anyone for picking it.

You've inspired me to make my own list when I take a break from dissertating later (posting here doesn't count).

I could make a list, but it would be divided into categories like "songs I love," "songs I like," "songs I don't listen to that much", etc. No way I could assign numbers though.
