The Daily Star in the UK seems to be under the impression that Pearl Jam will be one of the headliners at this years Reading Festival, Muse and the Arctic Moneys being the other two.

Another year another rumour about Reading.

Holy sweet merciful fuck. My eyes are watering. That would be beyond perfect. I met a fellow PJ fan/member of Stone's Bitches from Wales last Reading. I will explode with happiness if this is true.

Holy fuck.

I read that too.

I was under the impression that PJ would never play a festival again after Rosklide so I have my doubts about this.

Also the bloke who writes that column doesn't seem to have a good musical knowledge, he only knows the UK mainstream stuff.

Yeah I thought they didn't want to play festivals ever again. Somehow.

But if they do play reading, there's a slight chance they're going to play pukkelpop too. *woowoo* If this were to be true... *dies*

If PJ were to headline, they would've done so back in '93.

Nirvana already did so in '92. I don't see why it took PJ 16 years to headline it.

Well I didn't make it up, it was in the Daily Star. Now it is of course quite possible that they made it up :)

It's a well known fact that the UK papers make up stories to fill spaces in, but what I'm interested in is how they got the name Pearl Jam to put in there?

I totally doubt the whole thing, the main feature is that a band called the Artic Monkes are going to headline, they have just made it big and have just released their first album. It has become one of the fastest selling albums.

But.

A band that has "just made it" and on their first album, how can they headline? they proably only have about 10 songs.

this whole thing smells of BS.

But, again, why did they mention PJ?

I must admit that I was surprised to see Pearl Jam's name in the paper, not what I was expecting to see. Tits, tits, tits, Pearl Jam, tits, tits, wait a minute, did I see Pearl Jam????

As long as I can remember Pearl Jam get linked with Reading. I suspect that the Arctic Monkeys might headline the 2nd stage. Would be incredible for them if they did headline the main stage but it does seem rather early for them.

Thing for me again is , rosklide 2000.

No festivals again.

As much as I would like this to happen (Reading, Leeds) I very much doubt it.

I'd be extremely surprised to see them play a festival again. Reading would rule though.

I've seen more strong rumoured bands not ending up on the bill the past few years.
