Rival is one of my favorite tracks on Binaural. Stone's 3-song contribution (Rival, Of The Girl, Thin Air) to the album is excellent IMO.

They're excellent tracks. I think Eddie does pretty well with Stone's lyrics; I think he delivers lyrics that other people write more carefully - No Way and Otherside are other great examples, or You Are.

When I heard Binaural for the first time, Rival and Parting Ways were the only two songs I liked. Parting Ways has slipped down the list on that album for me, but Rival is still one of my favorites. I think the studio version is always better than live versions, tho.
