So stip had a little typo in the SOTM thread, but it got me thinking.
I know Last Kiss is played out, and I know that it sucks to be a huge pj fan and hear people praise nothing but Last Kiss when we all know there's been plenty of great music made by them during that time and presently.
I kind of like it though. It's a nice little sing along, even if the lyrics are depressing as hell. I've also been to a couple arena shows where they play it to the seats behind stage, which I think is really cool. The first time I heard it, I loved it. It's faded since, but I really don;t get all the hate for it.
As far as covers go, I'd prefer Last Kiss to:
Driven To Tears
People have the Power
Soldier of Love
Little Sister
and probably a couple more I can't think of.
Am I the only one?

I love last kiss and always have a great time when they play it live. I got tears in my eyes the first time I heard it--and along with man of the hour that is the only time that has ever happened for me.
I don't understand why it gets the bad rap that it does.

I just don't like it b/c it makes my girlfriend cry.

I'm not a fan at all, sorry. Why play it when an original could be played?
I'd take a lot of originals over last kiss but I'd rather here last kiss than, oh, I don't know, God's dice.

Last Kiss ships me back to senior year of high school art class when I first heard it on the radio and I just getting to know my future girlfriend (now ex). Ahhh memories.

I've never heard it live...other than boots
the whole crowd sings along with the oh-oh's at the end. It's nice.

I like Last Kiss, nice singalong, but I could see why some people might hate it. I have to say that I prefer Soldier of Love, I just think it's a better song.

Us hardcore fans are pretty tired of it but the majority of people who go to their shows wanting to hear radio songs still seem to love it. I can handle that.

I have that boot. I liked PHTP for a little bit, but it really bores me now. The chorus is still pretty cool, but I just can't really listen to it anymore.
