So stip had a little typo in the SOTM thread, but it got me thinking.

I know Last Kiss is played out, and I know that it sucks to be a huge pj fan and hear people praise nothing but Last Kiss when we all know there's been plenty of great music made by them during that time and presently.

I kind of like it though. It's a nice little sing along, even if the lyrics are depressing as hell. I've also been to a couple arena shows where they play it to the seats behind stage, which I think is really cool. The first time I heard it, I loved it. It's faded since, but I really don;t get all the hate for it.

As far as covers go, I'd prefer Last Kiss to:

Driven To Tears
People have the Power
Soldier of Love
Little Sister

and probably a couple more I can't think of.

Am I the only one?

**If I am, there will be no mention of this when I meet some of you this tour**

I love last kiss and always have a great time when they play it live. I got tears in my eyes the first time I heard it--and along with man of the hour that is the only time that has ever happened for me.

I don't understand why it gets the bad rap that it does.

I enjoyed it as an Xmas single track, but hearing it on the radio and in concerts is pretty painful for me.

Soldier of Love is much better, IMO, although if it was played as much as Last Kiss I'd be sick of it too.

I'm not a fan at all, sorry. Why play it when an original could be played?

I'd take a lot of originals over last kiss but I'd rather here last kiss than, oh, I don't know, God's dice.

Anything is better than Driven to Tears

But I prefer Soldier of Love to Last Kiss...

Last Kiss ships me back to senior year of high school art class when I first heard it on the radio and I just getting to know my future girlfriend (now ex). Ahhh memories.

I've never heard it live...other than boots

the whole crowd sings along with the oh-oh's at the end. It's nice.

I like Last Kiss, nice singalong, but I could see why some people might hate it. I have to say that I prefer Soldier of Love, I just think it's a better song.

Us hardcore fans are pretty tired of it but the majority of people who go to their shows wanting to hear radio songs still seem to love it. I can handle that.

i sit down when they play this. i really hate it. i liked it when it first came out, but it's really been overplayed. and it's such a bad encore song.

i do like soldier of love and would rather hear that.

but people have the power? how can you say you like last kiss more? go listen to the people have the power version from albany 2003. get back to me.

I have that boot. I liked PHTP for a little bit, but it really bores me now. The chorus is still pretty cool, but I just can't really listen to it anymore.
