My question...given the fact that this has been the longest the band has taken between releases, will you be happy with something on par (in terms of song quality and sound) with Riot Act? Or are you expecting this ablum to surpass that in everyway? I'd be happy with a Yield or a Binaural (if you throw in the Sads and the Educations of the bunch)

Also, i don't understand why everything is so "secretive" with this band. It just seems to me that most other bands announce shit, and are more open about they're plans. I mean its a new f***ing album, whats not to get excited about? And whats wrong with keeping your fans in the loop?

Hello and welcome to the board :)

Personally I don't know what to expect, which adds to the excitement. I am sick of waiting though. However, whilst it would be nice to get news from the band, I'd rather wait until they were absolutely sure that the news we recieve is legitimate and accurate. I'd hate for them to announce a release date only for it to be put back.

Being a PJ fan at the moment requires the patience of Job though :(

Why something average like Yield, Binaural or Riot Act? I'd hope they'd return to the dizzy heights of Ten and Vs, aim for the top

I am yes, its so funny seeing some people get so wound up when albums start getting criticised. I like to look for the reaction, I'm a sarcastic kind of guy

I hope they return to the 'dizzying heights' of the early years with much hope and sincerity. The amount of time they've taken on this, plus a very strong tour for Eddie, has given me very high hopes for this. I liked Riot Act a lot, but they can do better and I will be very disappointed if this is not noticeably better than Riot Act

Welcome to the board. :)

Sorry for the grammatical error (thats why I'm an art driector and not a copywriter). Anyway, I just want hope that the reason for the long wait is because they are slaving away and trying to perfect this thing. And they're not just polishing a turd, cause they're hacks. :D

I think that we're in for a treat, they've been too long at it for it to sound poor, and I don't think they could produce a bad album if they tried.
