That's an odd combo if ever I seen one.

I disagree Dimey, all the crowd who like 'rock' in the UK probably listen to both. Mainstream rock radio staples in the UK are RHCP and Oasis.

Seriously!

I really hope I get to hear Hail, Hail.

Despite the lyrical content of the song, every live rendition of Hail, Hail feels like the band is detached. It doesn't even sound nice as a song, just a big awkward riff that obstructs everything. It also makes Ed's voice sound bored because he doesn't have to try to sing it.

I challenge anyone to find a live recording of Hail, Hail that doesn't sound like the vocals are a drawl.

Amsterdam*, Oslo and Copenhagen. Tagging it onto the Roskilde Festival. If they would do CH first and then Oslo, it would have saved us a flight.

groetjes,
Mirella :)

*if we can get tickets Saturday

If I get tickets on Saturday morning and you don't, they're yours. Seriously, I haven't been in the Ten Club since 2006, I didn't like the last PJ gig I was at and I still don't like their last 2 albums. I wouldn't deserve to go knowing you couldn't go after you sorted God knows how many people with tickets last time in Rotterdam. I mean it. I'll settle for Arras or maybe get some last minutes like last time.

Or as I believe it's more commonly phrased:

The majority of the song is monotone. There's nothing interesting about it live. The song is devoid of melody, and this version is barely different from others bar a couple of improvised lyrics.

Booked the second night as well. This time, however, I'm standing. Nice!

When the hell did they announce the second gig? Fuck! I might have travelled for a two night stand.

And still no London.

If it hadn't been for Dime (thank you kindly, sir!) I wouldn't have known. The 10C are a fucking joke.

You read my mind. I nearly went back and added that as an edit.

Mirella, do you have both Amsterdam shows covered? If not, I'll stick to my promise. I got in twice.

EDIT: going of your Facebook, I think you did it. Great. see you there!
