In the spirit of there being a gigantic black hole as far as ANY valid news being released whatsoever, can we hear frmo the people who supposedly heard World Wide Suicide on the radio last week? Somebody posted that it was similar to DTE or Blood, disco-rock type of feel, etc.
Will these people just humor us and give their detailed impressions of the song? How did the production sound? Can anyone offer any meaningful insight? Somebody had to have taped the damn thing! Those who have already heard it, describe it for us in non-generic terms! Thanks-

i think that the wait for this album and single is making the Rm crowd orniary. short fuses around here, me included.
I like that you were able to use the word ornery. It gets short shrift in the english language.

so after weeks of being promised by different people that i would get
to hear the new single (and possibly the album), i finally got to hear
WWS a few times last week. it's definetly a pearl jam rock song, it
clocks in at around 3 minutes 20 secs. the only lyrics i can really
remember are from the opening line of the song 'i felt the earth move
on a monday...'
the chorus of the song is obviously 'it's a worldwide suicide...it's a
worldwide suicide'.
the guitar part during the chorus reminds me a bit of 'satan's bed' for
some reason.
overall i liked the song the more i heard it (4 times overall). it's
not as "punky" as crapshoot, but i think it'll be a crowd pleaser
overall. i believe it is suppose to go to radio at the begining of
march....and bigger & better things to come in april/may...
