I completely expect this thread to blow up tomorrow. What news. If, indeed, it's true and not some painfully elaborate hoax.

At the moment this seems to be nothing but rumour. The day is put on by a company called Mean Fiddler, their site has nothing

http://meanfiddler.livegigguide.com/sea ... te_field=0

I got this from virtualfestivals.com. Bottom line I think is until meanfiddler confirm, nothing is set in stone

''According to tabloid reports over the weekend Pearl Jam are being lined up to headline this summer's Reading and Leeds festivals - and Arctic Monkeys could be elevated to fill another of the top slots...

The Star reports that Pearl Jam, Arctic Monkeys, and Muse have been booked to headline the two rock festivals, which take place consecutively over the August bank holiday weekend (25-27).

If the claims are true, Pearl Jam would almost certainly play Leeds Festival on the Friday and Reading Festival on the Sunday, bringing the traditional 'heavier' rock day to a fitting climax.

As ever, all the above is based on reliable rumour, inside info, and press reports and nothing can be 100 per cent confirmed until official announcements from organisers Mean Fiddler.''

I would be pretty bummed if they play euro-festivals again. I much prefer solo-headlining-gigs.

I call bullshit.

I really can't see this happening.

But if they do play on the Friday at Leeds I may be able to make it.

Yep, it's killing me, it would be so ace if it was true.
I'm so going to find a way to be there if they do play.

Don't go to Leeds, go to Reading. It rains all the time in Leeds and you're miles from anywhere. At Reading you can get a riverboat down to Tesco to buy cheap booze.

Thx for the tip! :)
I didn't have one in mind yet, just posted it in the leeds thread cause just because.
Unless they only play one of the two, but I guess that's unlikely.

I'll be at leeds if these rumours are true and they play on the Friday, It'll take me approx 45mins to drive there and, i'll be driving back after Pearl Jam because I'm at a wedding the next morning.
