Has anyone noticed that the new album is far druggier and experimental than albums past? Do you think the band experimented with psychedelics at all during the making of this album?

ofcourse..boom probably picked up some good hawaiian pot from jack johnson and plus jeffs addiction to lsd and other mind altering drugs have benefited to the album.

Boom has probably smoked some of the most amazing shit on the face of the planet. I would LOVE to just chill next to Boom on the beach, smoke a fatty, and listen to music with him.

What're some other drugs he could be referencing? Peyote?
Shrooms, MDMA, PCP, heroin, cocaine, or meth?

in their late 30's, early 40's, with kids, families and other responsibilities, i don't think these guys indulge that much anymore. i have no reason to say so, but i do remember hearing jeff say they did all that when they were young and that eddie mentioned its difficult to smoke up after roskilde because he can't keep his brain from going to dark places.

Well, Ed never specifically mentions acid. What're some other drugs he could be referencing? Peyote?
based on ed's lyric in Last Exit referencing LSD i would say he's done his share of acid. You don't have to be on a drug to write about
Ed solicited acid from the crowd at the Slim's show in 93.
If I knew it was him, I wouldn't have charged him anything.
He asked for it for free. He did say that if they wrote a song while on it and it made the album, they'd give the person who gave it to them credit in the liner notes.
