Hey, does anyone know where I could find the MOFTH Demo? Itunes would even work but wondered if anybody has it that I could hear it before I bought it. Thanks.

it's on the man of the hour single. We can't post offically released music here. It is not especially different from the original, although many people prefer it. It's a simpler, starker number (similar to the Elderly woman demo on the go single)

if it's on itunes it's worth a dollar.

Elderly Woman is NOT a demo. It's an alternate mix.

it's just eddie by himself and it sounds a lot like the man of the hour demo and gone demo. I don't have the single nearby but I'd be willing to bet it was a demo version, even if they didn't call it that.

I haven't listened to it in a long time, but I'm pretty sure it's not just Ed. It's full band, it's just acoustic. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure.

i haven't listened in a long time either, and don't have it with me. If there is more than just eddie on it I take it all back.

Listening to it now. I think it's just Stone and Ed, and it does sound very demo-ish, rough and unsure.

Are you guys refering to the version from the Go single?
If so, it is only guitar and vocals. I always thought it was Eddie on guitar on that version
Anyway, the music sounds almost identical to the album version minus the drums bass etc. But there is a noticable lyric change on the "acoustic" version - Instead of "Me you wouldn't recall, for I'm not my former.." Eddie says "Of course you can't see me,for I'm not my former..."

When I first heard the acoustic version, I was very glad he changed that line for the official version.

I agree. The original lyrics sound awkward.

I don't think Elderly Woman is a demo. It just sounds to me like everything has been dropped but the one guitar and Ed. Even Ed's vocal is exactly like the one on VS except for the alternate line and right around it. It sounds too much like the track on VS to me to be a demo.

"Demo" is a tricky word. It implies an early draft, and it's unclear when the acoustic Small Town dates from.

It is definitely an alternate take though. Apart from the lack of rythym section, there are alternate lyrics and vocals, and I'm pretty sure that none of it is the same take as on the album version.

Also, I made the assumption that it is Stone on guitar because the style of play is so similar to the album, and every live version of I've ever heard. But I don't know for absolute sure.

I'm usually inclined to assume you're right unless TFT says otherwise. :)

I, too, think it is Stone on guitar, but I think it's the same as the album version. Maybe it's just an alternate vocal track recorded while Ed was still polishing up the lyrics?
