I am so very grateful that Pearl Jam did not implode the way Nirvana did.
If you havenot seen the last track on this dvd, I highly recommend it. Bring your tissues, it s a tear jerker for the gen x crowd.

It´s sad that he left so early....it´sad about everyone who pass away before time. I respect him as a great musician but he wasn´t the best human beeing ever

I think you're looking too much into Nirvana's cover of "Seasons In the Sun" as an example of Nirvana imploding. They may have imploded, but "Seasons In the Sun" is just the band goofing around--case in point, they're not playing their regular instuments--Kurt=drums, Dave=bass, Krist=guitar. On top of it all, they're covering "Seasons In the Sun".
However, if that wasn't the point, then yes it sucks that Kurt killed himself and Nirvana.

You know, I never *realized* that Nirvana covered Seasons in the Sun--the number 1 worst song ever written in the history of Mankind. It makes some sense to me now that Pearl Jam would pick "Last Kiss" to cover...the number 1 worst song left, since a cover of Seasons in the Sun was already taken, so to speak. Keeping up with the Cobains? I swear....I think I'm seeing the light for the first time on this choice. Now, the #1 worst song on earth left is "Midnight at the Oasis." If PJ covers this, I swear I'll send my camel to bed, join it, and send pictures in to this board. Unless I kill myself first.

no no--the song was a poignant ending to the DVD; just the band being what they wanted to be, a band free of the external pressures and internal pressures. And this sweetness ended with a body full of heroin and a head full of lead.
Don't think I'll ever be free of this gen x angst...but Pearl Jam always makes it better.

whats wrong with seasons in the sun? its one of the most sad songs ever...last kiss falls in the same category.maybe you should put on "shiny happy people"...
i wish i could listen to Nirvana anymore. Everytime I listen...all I hear is Niel Young, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Green River, etc...I feel bad for not being able to listen to them anymore....Foo Fighters though, that's where it's at.
