In the movie, the Namesake, which was just released. Pearl Jam's "Once" plays.

I really enjoyed the movie, mostly because i was that indian kid jumping around my room listening to pearl jam.

I hope the movie as good to everyone else who doesn't have immediate connections to the story line like myself. The pearl jam moment was insanely special for me when it happened. I know for the most part pearl jam keeps tight lids on what movies they provide music for, but i am very happy they allowed this.

you should read the book. its a quick read and the author's familiarity with how i grew up as a first generation indian is remarkable.

i have the book and am starting it after watching the movie. i read interpretter of maladies which was pretty good.
