as a recent member I have realized it is trendy to trash certain songs, and i dont see very good reasons why. Leash comes to mind, but ths is acceptable, it really is a juvenile song.
-But why Dissident and Glorified G? They were a perfect combo on VS and make it the straight ahead rock album it is.
-Blood is also a decent rocker with great 70's wawa action- not my favorite but certainly wouldnt kick it out of bed.
Rival? interesting song with a cool riff, similar chords to Tremor Christ.
Army Reserve- excellent, coherent lyics with a unique, harmonizing Eddie chorus.

I dont think I am being crazu advocating truly shitty PJ songs like LBC, sleight of hand, or Im open.

Can I hear some reasons why these songs "suck"?

I've never understood the hate for dissident, I've always liked that song. Rival is cool too

With a passion.

As for Dissident. It is a momentum killer at a show, no real good spot for it during the set, and the studio version is OK. Nothing really special about it IMO.

ive never came across a momentum killer at a show.

i guess i just dont buy into that thought process.

Anywho, i just dont understand the hatred for evacuation.

This song is classic pj, great guitar riffs, tone, killer solo, badass drums, great bass, and ed screaming. Oh, and the verse makes me want to have sex with myself.

ive heard dissident live 3 times, and not one fucking second during that song was the momentum killed. everyone went nuts and sang along with it. you can hear on the soldier field show in 95' ed dubbing dissident into the setlist to keep the momentum going.

I have come to realize Dissident is a crowd pleaser. At Boston 1 '04 the place was singing like crazy...I don't know, that opening riff is too long/big for me...

I used to love dissident--one of my all time favorites, but I've gotten a bit bored with it over time

Every song has a supporter somewhere on the board.
