Just play each one in their media playerby clicking "assista agora". Whatever that means.

Quite interesting interview. A lot on the new record, touring down south, politics, and how he can, "fix a typewriter, but not a computer."

u can listen to them in english... tho the basic jist of the part about the album is;

eddie says its been tough tho. 'easily some of the best stuff weve ever done'
hopes to finsh some of the lyrics off on the tour, he is bringing his typewriter with him... should have it completly finished by january, and released by april

jokes about the album name saying he was thinking about the soundgarden album 'superunknown' and thinking about the things in the world that were 'un-owned' and how thats what he wants to be, so thought about the title super-unowned', (laughs)

he also talked alot about the tour, but i dont have that kinda time on my hands. hope it helped...

Hope they find a better title, I think he was joking. A while back I remember a rumor of sorts saying the album would be called '8'. Also the symbol of infinity, also PJ's 8th studio album. This probably isn't true though...

first of all, sorry for my english.. here's the interview.. It has a few interesting points, especially about the petition getting to them (pearl jam):

Quote:
After waiting for 15 years, Brasil receives Pearl Jam for a season of 5 shows in Porto Alegre, Curitiba, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Too long for the fans of the band. Even for lead singer Eddie Vedder, that gave an interview for Terra in the afternoon of Tuesday, live from Seattle. “There’s not a good answer (for the delay on going to South America), only an apologise”, said the music over the phone
During the talk, Eddie also revealed that he pretends to finish the “creating work” for the new album on Brasil. For almost 30 minutes, he answered to questions sent by fans over the internet e said that he will choose the setlists just before each show.
Besides the musical questions, Pearl Jam’s singer addressed some critics to the government of George W. Bush and admitted he as a newbie when It matters to the Internet.

Terra – What do you expect of the Brasilian Tour both from the shows and from the contact with people?
Eddie Vedder – I’m a just a human being from Seattle. I’ll try to have an open mind for whatever comes. We’ve never been there, so I really don’t know what to expect.

Eddie Vedder talks about going to Brasil

T – Will this tour be different from the other Pearl Jam tours?
EV – Just for the fact that we’ve never been there, makes this tour different. As a matter of fact, we treat each and every show as a different show. These should be a lot different. And that will be difficult. It won’t be easy, but we’ll try our best to leave the fans happy.

T- Do you have any information about the brasilian fans?
EV – We received a GIANT list with signatures asking us to play there. Since then, we’re planning this. But sometimes time just passes you by. Time has finally come.

T- The fans of São Paulo made a big manifestation a few weeks ago, because the Pacaembu Stadium wasn’t free for the shows and there was the risk that the tour would pass by the city without stopping. What do you think about this devotion of the Pearl Jam fans?
EV – I was there before (in 1997) with the Ramones and I saw the fanatism around them. But they (the Ramones) deserved it. They played there a lot of times. The brasilians are probably the biggest Ramones fans in the whole world. We still need to deserve that.

Eddie talks about the passion of the fans

T – Do you feel proud being received like this?
EV – I think that’s a phenomenon. We’re honoured, of course. It’s interesting seeing large groups of people being interested with what we do. We always think about a person as an individual.

T – Sometimes, fans seem to act like you were a god. Why’s that?
EV – Nothing’s going to change the fact that I’m human. I’m just a guy that can’t sleep at night. That’s frustrated with the government. When I was a little boy, I listened to the voice of Pete Townshend (The Who singer) and he seemed so far away from me. Like he was from another planet. So, I understand the feeling. I remember the first time I saw Pete on stage for the first time. I was so excited for the music as much I was for just seeing him there in front of me. I almost didn’t believe that. I understand the feeling of being in the same place as someone that influences you. He helped me to survive and gave me hope.

T – You said you were here with the Ramones. Since then, you have been “seen” many times in Brazil – in a beach or walking in a park in São Paulo, for example. Did you really came back those other times?
EV – The only time I was there was with the Ramones. And I stayed in the hotel for most of the time. I almost didn’t leave the hotel. I remember being in the pool with Joe. Those are lies.

T – Do you know already what musics you’re going to play in Brasil?
EV – It will all happen on the hour. Ir depends on what’s going on in the world and with ourselves. I’ll probably look to the fans during Mudhoney’s act and think about what to do. We’ll try to have the best “menu” we can.

Eddie talks about how they'll choose the setlists

T – The fans on the Internet sent thousands of questions for you during the past week. The first one was: why did you take so long?
EV – Life’s going faster than ever. We can’t deny that we’ve never been there. And I imagine that, if everything goes ok, we’ll be back after. But there’s no real reason. Sometimes we postpone because we just have no time, others for finantial reasons or because we can’t find a spot in our agendas. There’s no good answer, only an apologise.

Eddie apologises for the brasilian fans

T – During the brasilian tour you’ll have two days off. Are you planning to go somewhere on those days?
EV – We’ll be preparing for the shows ou recovering from the previous shows. And I’m really focused on writing songs, that keeps my mind sound. I don’t think we’ll going nowhere.

T – The American president, George W. Bush, was in Brasil in the past week and there were manifestations agains him in many cities. What do you think about his actions as president?
EV – I think he has a difficult job. He has to take care of a country, a superpower. He’s the leader e has a lot of influence all over the world. But, since he’s there, he’s job has been making big money for the big multinational corporations. If all this process was aimed to positive things, like taking care of the environment or working for the peace process, then we would be going in the direction of a better world. They’re doing something, but not with the better choices. The natural resources of the planet are the main point. They’re causing preoccupation, but no one seems to care with that. It’s like having a drunk and powerful driver on the wheel. And you’re kids are on the backseat.

Eddie talks about Bush

T – Have you ever heard of the brasilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva?
EV – I think he tries to keep a relation with Bush, because they need to be friends.

T – About the Internet. What changes do you think it took to the music in the past 10 years?
EV – I still use a typewriter. I don’t use a computer, neither for music nor for writing.

Comments about the Internet

T – Is that because you really don’t like it?
EV – I know how to fix a typewriter, but I don’t know how to fix a computer. If something breaks in the middle of the night I don’t need to call for anyone. I don’t like to work on something I don’t even know how to run. I’m like a mechanic that doesn’t know how to fix new cars so he just fixes the old ones. I think the Internet, as an information tool, is really positive. But there’s the other side, like in all inventions. It depends on how you use it.

T – How’s the new album going? Is there a date for the release?
EV – It’s been a difficult album. But, sometimes, the hardest the work, the better and valuable it gets. It’s very aggressive, especially if you listen to it loud. It’s not ready yet and I hope to finish the songs while I’m there. I’m taking my typewriter. We should finish the songs in January and release the album in April.

Eddie talks about the possibility of finishing the new album in Brasil

T – Are you planning on playing something new in Brasil?
EV – I don’t know if we will. Maybe we’ll wait until the album is ready. We’ll decide while we’re there.

T – Is there a name for the new album already?
EV – There’s no name. I thought about a name... Soundgarden has an album called “Superunknown” and I was thinking about using “unown”, which means “not belonging (“not own”) to anyone”. We’re “unowned”. So the name shoube “Superunowned” (laughs).
