I posted this on the bbs forum... I'm not gonna keep bumping it that much here like I do there.. But once in a while I will.

http://multivote.sparklit.com/web_poll.spark/11035

Take a moment, go here & vote for Pearl Jam albums

Later this year, Guitar World will release an issue of the 100 best albums ever according to who gets the most votes

Even if you don't care about Pearl Jam winning, at least take revenge on Guitar World for not having 1 Pearl Jam album in their 100 Most influential guitar albums ever list a few years back. I think Mike & Stone would be real proud to get that honor if a few PJ albums were in the top 10.

Also dont worry about albums like Dark Side of the Moon or London Calling or Sgt Peppers... Those will obviously be in the top 10 no matter what.

But imagine if just for once 'Ten' was voted the best album ever... That album has never gotten the true recognition it deserves. Millions of people read this magazine, so I really think it'd help Pearl Jam's crediblity & recognition in general.

If you could help bump this thread now & then, we'd get more votes.

You're Living All Over Me is the best guitar album ever.

Who's it by? I'd think Electric Ladyland would be considered by most people the best.

I don't even think that's the best Dino Jr album, but I know I'm in the minority. (Where You Been?)

Well, I can't say any Pearl Jam albums are in my top 5 as far as guitar goes... I wouldn't be surprised if there were 100 better guitar albums, actually.

Ok that's arguable in terms of what's "better" technically... However their list was a list of the 100 most influential guitar albums, & there Pearl Jam is unarguably in the top 100... But left out.

Through interviews I've read ranging from Incubus to the Strokes, I think 'Ten' is easily guitar-wise very influential, & for them to leave it out seemed almost purposeful for some reason.

I don't know, I never really hear Ten being mentioned as connected with any kind of guitar movement... In fact, wasn't Ten's popularity somewhat a result of the backlash on guitar-heavy 80s metal? I think in terms of sheer popularity of some of the riffs on Ten is might be somewhat influential, but I don't really think Ten inspires anybody other than Pearl Jam fans to pick up a guitar. And if you walk into a guitar center and start playing Alive, you're not exactly going to impress anybody with either your technical ability or the depth of your catalogue.

However, it seems moot, as that voting link calls for the 100 greatest albums of all time.

Hate to break the bad news to you... But Pearl Jam do like getting appreciated for their hard work. Isn't it unbelievable that they have the same human emotions as anyone else? I thought they were just robots like you.
