Anyone know of any sites or anything that can give any ideas of what items are truly worth on the market?

I ask because I've just been scanning ebay and came across the following item:-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEARL-JAM-3xCD-Di ... dZViewItem

I've got this item and noticed that its starting bid is set at £129.99 (no bidders mind you so it got me wondering just how much some items are really worth.

I can still remember the day I picked up the Digipack in a shop here in the UK, and then not to much later I managed to get the 3rd disk to fit in the collection, but it took a long time of searching in shops and in advertisements, mailing lists etc to find the second part of the set. Oh how I rejoiced when I finally completed this little set. Quite a while since I've listened to it all actually so might have to get it in the player again.

I thought the same thing myself to be honest. I can remember what the individual cd's cost roughly, and its one hell of a big increase in the value even if they are hard to come by.

As I say though, have wondered before what some items are truly worth in my collection from rare cd's, to fan club singles, tour books and even a pearl jam comic book I picked up!!

anyone know of any internet resources to get such things valued or an idea of values?

sadly enough ebay does sort of dictate the value.

anything is only worth what people are willing to pay for it.

Yeah, that set should be worth about $40-50 tops.

Anyway, there was a guy who was tracking the ebay sale prices of some PJ rarities a year or two ago. I know the link was posted here, but I have no idea how to search for it, and I don't know if he's keeping up with it. It was a useful tool though.

that would be very handy indeed but suspect its possibly lost within the masses of pages on here now.

shame there's not some tool somewhere on the net than give more of an idea of the value / availability of items.

All well and good saying Ebay dictates value, but if you were selling something and had no idea what sort of minimum price you should expect then where would you start.

Certainly wouldn't sell the set myself.

I haven't looked at the site yet, but it seems http://www.gemm.com is a good help for values.

groetjes,
Mirella :)

that price is way to high. should be about 50 euro i'd say. or something like that. i have two of the cds and the digipak thing and seperately they only cost me about 25 euro in total
