the ones who think ten/vs/vitalogy is their best work, and the ones who think no code/yield/binaural/riot act is their best work.

it's pretty clear there are very few inbetween, and if they are, this board drives them to one side.

that's definitely true.

I still really like the last four albums, and Yield is very close to being in that elitie field for me--but for me there is a great divide between the first and second half/sections of their career. But I feel that all of the records since vitalogy COULD have been as good as the first three with a few changes so I'm hoping they finally pull it off with the new one. It's not that they lost the ability. it's that they refuse to use it.

I don't know.. I'm somewhere in the middle.. Vitalogy/No Code/Yield are my favs.. I think the last two are sub-par and the first two are great but a bit dated.

I'd say I'm in the first group, but then I don't really care much for Vs. I love Binaural but am not exactly enthralled by Riot Act.

yes but you can't judge pearl jam fans on how much they like other bands.

Yield is my favorite, but Vitalogy is my second favorite. I would tend to say that Ten and Vs are better than No Code, Binaural, and Riot Act. I like them all, though. The people who talk about how they suck after Vitalogy annoy me so I guess I'm in the middle or something like that.
