Don't like the RVM version.

Sorry, but I have my reasons.

This version is so intense its crazy. I like when Ed cups his hands over his mouth to get the bullhorn effect. Classic Vedder.

This version is shit. I love the MTV version beyond words. I think it may be their best acoustic song they've ever done. The rockin version isnt shit that was far exageration but it was definately not as good or even close.

Love the version on the singles soundtrack and was hoping with this version on RVM they would beef it up abit. Dont really like what theyve done with it, sounds like someone messed around with the echo and reverb too much and its taken all the energy out of eds vocals...however the BLACK remix is amazing so i think i can forgive them for butchering SOLAT.

yea, definitely butchered. sounds like some kid just got a new audio editing program and went to town with the reverb effects. just listened to the original version and it was like a breath of fresh air.

I love the rearview mirror version. The effects are pretty cool and add some new dimensions to the songs. New parts to look forward to, etc. I can't say if i like it more than the original yet, but I definitely enjoy it. If it is not as good it's close. It actually feels more remixed than the Ten remixes (all of which are spectacular). I wonder why they didn't mention it on the album

I don't really care for it. It just sounds super messy to me. The version on the Singles soundtrack is much better. All those extra effects sound silly and just take away from the song.
Even though I don't like what they did to it I still find myself listening to it a lot just because I love that song so much and Eddie just goes crazy in it.

Agreed! I don't like the remixed SOLAT either, but Black owns.

why on earth spemd the time on taking away all the shitty reverb from the 'ten' tracks then whack a load onto solat? the singles version is perfect as it is.

Actually, dude, that was an added effect. Are you talking about the part where he sings, "won't you help me..."? Yeah, that was my favorite part because Ed's voice cracks and then they go and add the reverb and delay effects to it and it ruins Ed's natural voice.

The flange effect on the guitar is not necessary, either....

I agree with the "something different", but I've never really been a fan of the song... although the acoustic version from unplugged did put the Cawk in the Rawk.
