was it the Pearl Jam Network?
That guy hated the uke songs Ed previewed in early '02 and then after a bruising phone call from Tim at the 10C, he closed up shop on the day Riot Act was released. I forget his name.
He got a bruising phone call from Tim at the 10C?! Never heard that part. Know any details? I'm curious.

Soon there will only be RM and 10c. Then we make our move.

Adam Frucci.
His musical tastes changes a lot between the releases of Binaural and Riot Act. He chose to close the site because there were other sites that provided most of the same resources and he was into other things.
Whether or not he got a call from Tim, I don't know. I used to talk to Adam a lot when PJN was active, but haven't in a few years. Last thing I heard from him was a short film with the guy from the Microphones (I think? Phil Evrum? someone..)

It was basically to the effect that he learned a lot from PJ and thanked them, but his tastes have changed and he doesn't want to maintain the site anymore.
He got flamed hard by people for it.

Eric and I go way back from there...summer of 2001. Kaesrya (Katie) was there, along with Ara and others I'm forgetting.
I miss PJN and the Master/Slave board.

I think the call facilitated the letter. It wasn't quite nice. He basically hammered the band hard about being sell-outs and stuff and the 10C call only push him over the edge. That was what he basically said in the letter.

I used to lurk on that board and just started to post more often when it got shut down. Fun times.

I think I remember reading that, actually. He was pissed about Ed playing that private concert for the Real Networks guy, I think.
yes, I think so. The age and nick and so are the same.
groetjes,
Mirella

Yeah man, M/S was good times. My introduction not only to the online PJ community but to forums as a whole. Lot of great people there: StyChi, EricAtPeace, Paxosmotic, Pulson. There was some fag who posted there too though named like jcaspari or something. God that guy was a tool.

I started on pjnand only came here occasionally...but then made the move when pjn closed. I remember being bummed and kinda of put off by the letter. I understand where he's coming from, but he could have made it a lot simpler and pleased everyone.
pjn was great times. It a key part in the Internet making me the huge PJ fan that I am.
