Our Review:
Most of their grunge-era peers imploded, disappeared or lost members to tragic circumstances, but Pearl Jam has remained resilient through the years. It's unfortunate the same can't be said about the band's music, which has drifted further and further toward vacant classic rock posturing on recent albums. This eponymous disc aims to fix that by turning up the guitars, trimming away the fat, and getting that old warhorse Eddie Vedder actually sing rather than groan. Songs like "World Wide Suicide" and "Severed Head" even come close to recreating the hard rock thrills of the band's billion-selling debut, Ten.

I'll be glad when this stops. Every time I log on I have to stick 5 new reviews into the stickied thread

That happens when an album is sells 9.4 million or however many.
it was 15 years ago, i wish these reviewers had any knowledge on the band whatsoever to know that they made their best music after ten, and it was 15 years ago, you would think that everything in between is complete shit

Yeah, but dude...Ten was THE album they were known for. Nearly everybody has heard Even Flow and Jeremy. To give a review of a band and not mention their biggest album is unheard of. You can't mention AC/DC and not talk about Back In Black somewhere, Bon Jovi without Slippery When Wet, Nirvana without Nevermind or Guns N' Roses without Appetite For Destruction....that's just how it is.

what the hell does that mean? what on the last few albums sounds like "vacant classic rock posturing"? my guess is that this reviewer hasn't listened to the last few albums, although i would never go to e! for my music reviews/information.
