So, there's a chance that the mighty Mark Lanegan might be on the new Pearl Jam record. But which other musicians would you love to see play with PJ?

Try not to just laundry list every other artist you like, though. Try and think of someone that the band might actually work with or that would bring something interesting to the table.

I'd love to see the band work with Shawn Smith. A duet between Shawn and Ed might not work but I'd love to hear Shawn lay down some backing vocals on a PJ tune. He could bring a real smooth, Prince sort of vibe to one of their more laid-back or funky numbers.

I am sick of guest appearances on albums. After all, not every band is Santana.

I think it's lame that I keep hearing all these guests on the new Foo Fighters album. I think they need to concentrate on writing a good batch of songs.

Pearl Jam needs no guests. If there were any, I'd like them to only do backing vox or something.

Varg Vikernes: Mr. Vikernes should be allowed to play keys/synth on a few tracks, if only to represent the nation of Norway, plus he must be bored as fuck in jail all these years.

Yngwie Malmsteen: I'd like to hear Yngwie solo over Stone's rhythm guitar for like 15 minutes.

Rob Darken (Graveland): thus creating the first epic song Pearl Jam would ever write.

Athelstan and Wulfstan: the brothers Forefather could write some nice Pagan lyrics for Eddie to sing, and provide a nice blend of Black Metal and English folk music.

Fenriz: of course the song would have to be roots Black Metal, but I'm sure the PJ guys would understand Fenriz can play to no other music.

Trollhorn: epic keyboard solo, enough said.

Timo Tolkki: Timo could work with Boom or something to make a nice symphonic backdrop of the new PJ album's mid-paced Power Metal song.

Phil Anselmo: ranting about being depressed ala Down, maybe a hidden track?

That's probably enough guest for one album.

Jack and Natasha from Eleven. And bring Natasha on tour instead of Boom :P She can play an opening set with QOTSA and then the headliner with PJ.

I'd rather no guests on PJ albums but if I had to choose...

Jimmy Chamberlin on drums would be kinda cool.
They should reunite with John Popper for some serious harmonica playing
and Hootie, so they can take studio breaks and get free Burger King
