This applies a little more to the movie than the song. Almost every guy I've ever met who has seen big fish cried during it (and not having eyes tear up a little bit--actually cried) and most of the women I know who've seen it liked it but were far less affected by it. Has anyone else noticed this? Women, do you find this movie/song as moving as the guys do, or does the father/son dynamic freeze you out a little bit (this is more prevelent in the movie than the song)

I didn't cry during the film, and I'm an emotional sort usually. :?

Oh God yes, it was an excellent film. I maybe didn't cry because I was watching it in the cinema with my ex and her father.

It's strange because I normally cry all the time during movies. I blubbed like a baby at the end of Gladiator

I can beat that. I still get teary eyed at the end of major league and UHF. I love underdog stories though.

When you don't cry during Big Fish the terrorists win.

if man of the hour played during the actual movie it would've been water works for me. it didn't have much of an impact playing over the credits.

you need to be more in touch with your inner Ninja Turtle. Or switch to a more sensitive avatar. Raphael would never cry. Donatello might.

I've never seen this movie simply because everyone I know who has, has cried.

I think it's a father/son thing. I've watched it with a half dozen different girls and not one has cried. They all liked the song though.

if by crying you mean having a little tear in the corner of your eye then sure, i've had those for lots of movies but if you mean like all the tears of your body pouring out, then i say "WTF??? people do THAT?"

I didn't cry and I am big crier. The line "you're just a big fish" took any kind of super emotion out of me (i.e. crying)

I cried at the end of Rudy.
