For those of you like myself holding out and not listening to any of the album leaks, what type of setting are you going to establish for your first listen of "Pearl Jam?" Car? Home stereo? mp3 player?
I think Im either going to put the album on my mp3 player and go for a nice jog along the river, or light up a big fatty and lie on the floor with my stereo cranked!
Im just curious on how other people plan to conduct their first listen.

The first real listen for me will be in my living room, that stereo has the best sound.
But I'm sure I'll cave and listen to it in the car on the way home from the record store

I have a softball game after work on Tuesday, so I probably won't get to listen to it until I get home that night. I'll probably just put it on in my office at home and listen to it while I post on this message board.

listen once before you post. don't multi-task.

I took the day of the release off work, so I could go to the midnight sale. I'll probably listen to the first song or two on my way home in my car stereo, then listen to the rest on the home stereo. I'm going for a long drive the next day, though, and already really looking forward to blasting it on the car stereo as I drive.

It's a bank holiday over here on Monday when it's released. I'll whack it on the stereo downstairs and crank it up loud and probably listen to it for most of the day

One piece of advice. (you will probably do this anyway) Other PJ albums could be absorbed and appreciated at moderate volume and high voumes don't truly add to the experience a great deal. However, when "Pearl Jam" is turned to 11 it truly shines.

I plan on masturbating furiously, timing my ejaculation to coincide with the final notes of Inside Job. I will then clean up my mess with the CD booklet, and head to the store to pick up another unsoiled copy.

We get the album on Saturday (which as I write this is tommorrow) and I haven't listenned to the leaks either *** pats self on back ***, so I'm kind of hanging out badly at the moment.
I'm pretty sure that this one will be a lounge room/stereo job for me, very loud for certain. I'm kind of lucky as at least three of my neighbours crank their own tunes at various times and we all know each other and are pretty cool about it.
So I guess for me it's:
