Over dinner at Il Bistro, a duskily lighted date restaurant tucked into the lower levels of Pike Place Market, Gossard and McCready argue over the importance of lead versus rhythm guitar.

Oh. It's just too easy.

Disagree on one point.

One thing Seattle HAS become is pretentious.

very good read. I hope they weather the coming storm well, and remain intact, I think it's a good time for them to embrace it all. Not freak out like the early years, just do it differently.

For some reason I always thought that Ed and Stone were the leaders of the group and everyone else kind of fell in line. As more interviews are coming up it appears as though Ed is the Man. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it's just a different dynamic than I thought existed. It sounds as if it's more like Eddie Vedder and the Pearl Jams. That is all.....Carry on.

Stone knows eddie needs his space. Bush probably thinks he really runs the government too

Great article--thanks :D
