I see it as: the songs on these two albums aren't competing with one another.

With Riot Act

Can't Keep
Save You
Comatose
Severed Hand
Marker
I Am Mine
Thumbing My Way
You Are
Gone
Green Disease
Army Reserve
Come Back
Inside Job
----
Arc
All or None

Pearl Jam by a nose - without including last two Riot Actors. I think I am going to prefer Riot Act to this in a years time.

The last two records are not even close to the "avocado"

Not close.

The 4 first songs of the last album kick in the ass almost everything they did in Binaural and Riot Act.

everything is a competition

1-Life Wasted (not even close)
2-World Wide Suicide (not even close)
3-Comatose (not even close)
4-Severed Hand (close)
5-Marker in the sand (kinda close)
6-Parachutes (not even close)
7-Insignificance (not even close)
8-Big Wave (close--I just don't care for of the girl much. I'd take breakerfall, NAIS, light years, gone, wasted reprise, and parting ways over either)
9-Grievance (tough call)
10-Rival (close--I really like the reprise, even if it isn't a full song)
11-Army Reserve (close--see 8 for songs I'd rather be here than SoH or army reserve)
12-Come back (not even close)
13-Inside Job (not even close)

Binaural: 3
Pearl Jam: 10

Mine:
1. Life Wasted (not close)
2. WWS (not close)
3. Comatose (not close)
4. Severed Hand (close)
5. *NAIS (close)
6. *Thin Air (close)

8. *Of the Girl (not close)
9. Gone (not close)
10. Wasted Reprise (not close)
11. Army Reserve (not close)
12. Come Back (close)
13. Both songs are my favorite on the respective records, but if pressed I go with Inside Job

So-10-3 PJ over Bnaural (and if I ranked the songs 1-26, 18 of the top 20 are from Avacado, and I love BN`)

You can't compare first song to first song....second to second etc. It has to be the whole to the whole!

So album to album................This new one kicks the crap out of Binaural anyday! Binaural comes across like such a yawner compared to "Pearl Jam". I'm getting sleepy just thinking about Binaural and Riot Act. Ok albums......but that's pushing it.

Yeah but its just come out - most people loved RA and Binaural when it came out - I think these are better songs than RA and Binaural but I don't think it is necessarily a better album in terms of taking me somewhere and presenting different emotions and feelings. This album doesn't have much feeling for me.

I didn't think alot of Binaural.......had to grow on me. That took a month or two. Riot Act I hated. Some of the worst singing Ed has ever done....very lazy. After time....I learned to tolerate it. After hearing some pretty shitty quality leaks of this album.....I fell in love with it immediately. The singing, the guitars, the drumming.....everything is far better than what they've done in 12 yrs. Yield had the GTF and DTE, but as a whole, this one is stronger.......I think most people will agree. Over time......it'll become bigger.

Comatose sucks????? Come back boring??? I take it Binaural was one of the first PJ records you heard and you hate Vitalogy.

Vitalogy is their second best, behind Yield in my opinion. Binaural is up there for me, but the new one blows. It's slightly better than Riot Act.

I think Come Back is pretty lame too and I love Vitalogy. Its like that slow song Chris Cornell did on his solo album - I forget the name but it was poor.

13. Parting Ways (soooo good live)

That's it. That's the list.

for me:

1. Life Wasted
2. World Wide Suicide
3. Comatose
4. Severed Hand
5. Marker In The Sand
6. Parachutes (only cuz Thin Air absolutely reeks and is one of their worst songs imo)
7. Insignificance (as much as i love Unemployable, and it's one of my faves on the new record, Insig just owns)
8. Of The Girl (not even close)
9. Grievance (again, not even close)
10. Rival
11. Sleight of Hand (not very close)
12. Come Back
13. Inside Job

surprisingly... when you compare them like that, PJ - 8 Binaural - 5, but the thing is, i'd still take Of The Girl, Sleight, Grievance, Insig over anything on this record so far (Marker & Unemployable are creeping up tho).

There are like 4 "slow" songs on Euphoria Morning, and ZERO of them are poor.
