Sorry Stip if this has been posted before.

Seether covered Immoratlity, and it can be found here. I think they've done a decent job

Curious to see what they make of it, so long as they don't butcher the arrangement it should be alright.

Seether is such a fucking shit band and I hope they die. There was like 6 months where I couldn't turn on rock radio and not hear that ridiculously bad and derivative "remedy" song.

I actually like some of their songs. I have their Immortality cover. It's alright, but I can't get past the half step down tuning.

That strikes me as a bit harsh. They're a pretty decent band really if you give them a chance. Anyhows, I just put the link up, thought it might interest a few people. Not looking for an argument about it

The cover its self is quite good. The singers voice sounds very familiar. He sounds exactly the same as the muppet from 'stained', its not him is it, in a new band?

This has appeared before, but I can't find it, so no worries

This guys voice has always reminded me a bit of Kurt Cobain. It's like Nirvana doing Pearl jam.

This is pretty decent. What this really drives home is how much subtely Eddie has in his voice. Most of the knock offs only have one speed/tone.

Very true. When you hear other singers do it you realise that Ed's voice is not at the same level throughout. I think one of the best covers I've heard is Bronson Arroyo (MLB pitcher) doing Black. I think he did a good job, a lot better than Aaron Lewis of Staind doing the same cover

i think they missed the mark, all over this song... they just played it... they didn't feel it, they sucked the life out of it.... where was the climax... do it right or not at all

I'm fairly sure that the guys in Seether are fans of Pearl Jam, because during an interview segment from that show they brought up the fact that Immortality is a "golden nugget" or something only for the fans. As in, people wouldn't generally know it.

They did in fact suck the life out it, it's so weird it just sounds like a song without a soul.

You've got a guy trying to sing like Kurt Cobain and covering a Pearl Jam song, there's gotta be a word for that somewhere...

The tuning is kinda annoying and reeks of "Nu" but I guess if the rest of the album was recorded in that tuning then fair enough if they couldn't be bothered to change it for one song.

Don't get me wrong Seether have an upside, it's just not present on that lifeless cover, listen to one of their originals on the same album and you can see the singer feels it more.

Still makes me wanna vommit though

ugh. Fine, they just sound like a cover band. Even them doing it live sounds overproduced. makes you appreciate how pure and raw pearl jam is as a live band. The gutiars used, equipment...

fucking just sounds overproduced.

also, i hate seether and all new hard rock bands.

It sounds fine, but there are 862 lead singers with this exact voice these days. Enough.

I think that's the first time I've ever felt bored listening to that song. As other people said, there's just no life in that cover.
