not sure where to put this, but i saw anthony kiedis and flea doing a promo for their new album on vh1 the other day and they were talking about they're awesome new song that they'll play on tour called "the one note symphany" and they explained what it was and it was a total rip off of pearl jam's "one note" anybody seen the chillis do it live? anybody ready for the ensuing legal battle once pearl jam hears of this?!!!

Napalm Death's "You Suffer" (from 1987) lasts 1.3 seconds. It sounds really similar. (You can hear the whole "song" by previewing it on iTunes.)

i have no idea if who started it, but since flea gave pearl jam props in a interview and said that he enjoyed seeing them live, i'm sure he's run into the song at a pearl jam show at some point :cop:

on an old S.O.D. album, they "cover" Judas Priest's "Diamonds and Rust", calling it "Diamonds and Rust (Extended Version)". It's 3 seconds long =)

i'm trying to dig this up, but i also don't believe this is PJ's idea. something tells me it's a spinal tap thing, but i'm not finding that either. i'll keep looking.
