I mean it is. Check out the other forums and you'll find that this is the best Pearl Jam forum of all. Great info on PJ, "nice people", and for me it's a badass board kicking the others in their... balls.

in a very stilted, nerdy way, i think the success of this form is due to the diligence of the mods. duplicate posts are almost instantly locked. posts in the wrong forum are almost instantly moved. over time, people start to see the duplicate posts locked and *actually use the search feature*. then you see the off-topic posts moved and you start to frequent those forums.
and the fact is, i can check the board twice a day and not have to worry about going through 9 pages of dupes, off-topic posts and complete nonsense

You know what always irritates me? No matter where you come. No matter what group you listen to. No matter what you do. People will always say: it used to be better. ALWAYS!!
(and this was a general remark, not a rant towards you, YessCode)

This exactly what I wanted to say...
Although, I hate to admit it, but I've commited this 'crime' a few times myself

cheers mods!
i dont know, i could be wrong...you might know more than i...
but (im guessing youre refferring to synergy!) i think the reasons ynergy is that way is because a)its the "official" board, meaning all fans or anyone int he damn world will go to that one. And i think, contrary to popular belief..the mods over there probably do other things and arent paid to just stare at the board all day. Whereas here...the mods, i assume are obssessed pearl jam fans like the rest of us and chat on the board all day like everyone here, so its easier for them manage the board more efficiently. You can tell when kat and sea are around because up to 10000000000000 damn posts will be locked or deleted. But i wouldnt harp on them as i imagine they have more to do with their time then stare at the board...
anywho. This place is sweet, kind of an elitist attitude at times, but who cares its the internet. great site. I think im just worn out on every damn pj site about the same damn topics ie. "whos the best drummer" "boom sucks" "give up politics already" "why dont they rock as hard"
I think this board took a real positive first step when on 4/1 it went to Creed discussions, but then on 4/2, back to PJ, a shame, but I guess one step forward, two steps back... but I do love PJ's song "Arms Wide Open". Anyone see Scott Stapp?
