when i heard "gone" playing over the in-store station. "weird," thought i; "we only play music that we sell!" lo and behold, i then found a box of the new pearl jam cds in the back room.
i have only one question:
WHERE IS YOUR PRECIOUS INTEGRITY NOW, VEDDER?

weird. didn't think the band would let their cd's be sold at a place that refused to provide coffee to troops in iraq because they 'didn't want to get caught up in politics'

those troops in iraq had no business being there in the first place. Incase this country hasnt realized this yet...

Cool. The only problem I have with Starbucks is that they get there coffee beans from certain parts of columbia where it is regulated by columbian henchmen that threaten farmers, even going as far as killing their wives and children to get their "cut" of the supply. It's too the point where it's become a bigger financial gain then cocaine ( considering how many people drink coffee vs snorting coke ). Starbucks knows this but.....who cares when you're making great money yourself? Other than that, I've heard Starbuck's coffee is really good.

whether they're there or not, not helping out some troops that really love your coffee because you 'don't wanna get involved in politics' seems like a real corporate greed type thing to do.

I'm just asking, but once a CD is for sale isnt it kinda just 'out there' to be put on the racks and sold by whomever wants to sell it?? I guess if this is going to get "nasty" so be it and I dont want to steal anyone's lovely political thunder here, but what the hell is this??.....if this particular Starbucks sells music, then OF COURSE they would have the new CD for sale.

I was at the convenience store the other day, and the cashier lady said "you can put your banana in here, my hands are dirty". Not PJ related, but if were telling stories about stores here ya go. Plus I thought you pervs would like it.

Yeah, seems like a douchebag thing to do, IMO. Seriously, doing nice things for the troops is NOT the same as supporting the war.

Ahh thanks WTOB? - but yeah i agree to what Sun devil said - supporting troops does not necessarily mean you support the war,... after all those who enlist are the ones who keep a draft from being enstated again
