The song that originally drove me away from PJ for about 4 years... now I love the song and would really dig hearing it live.
you're a fairweather fan, Who You Are was always great. Maybe it wasn't the PJ we were all familiar with at the time but it was still great. Didn't you get No Code hear Red Mosquito and go damn that's good

I discoverd pearl jam at the best time. I was 10 years old when No Code came out and my older bro had it in his room. That was the first album i really listened to. I played it over and over and over. When you're 10 years old and you're friends don't really know what music is at that age, and you're listening to No Code, you feel pretty special . It was the best time to discover them because everyone considers other albums of theirs to be better, and I already thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. But i listened to the others and hey, its still my favorite.

I was listening to the Rearviewmirror version of "Who you are" and I have noticed that there is a difference in lyrics from the original verison. Only one line of the song though.
The original line is "Circumstance, Clapping Hand" but in the Rearviewmirror version it sounds like he is saying "(I can't understand the first word), Falling friends"
Now can someone tell me if I'm crazy because I can't seem to find the lyrics to this version of the song. I just rediscovered this song recently and I forgot that outside of the first couple of albumns and a few songs in between, just how great this band really is (them and Radiohead). I hope to see them again someday since I haven't seen PJ in concert since '94.

Thats pretty harsh to say to someone. Jeeze.
On RVM they did change the lyric to avalanche, falling fast. I liked the original better with the clapping hands lyric, esp. with the subtle hand clapping on the song.

I have no idea. I do wonder if the edit of the lyric was something ed did recently, like the lyric was always something that bothered him...or if he recorded both lyrics back in the day, and just had them change it.

Well thanks for the clarification on that then. Now I can sing both versions to my 5 month old except for the "F*cked up man" Maybe I'll change it to "Messed up man"
