One day last year I got REALLL bored and thought it'd be fun to put together an itunes playlist of Pearl Jam's recorded history in chronological order.

I started with the Mammasan tape because that was the first time Ed sang with the band and worked my way forward. Generally, if it was an album I went with the release date, but if it was a demo, outtake, or alternate version, I went with the date of recording. B-sides go by the date of release too. X-Mas singles went at the end of the year becaus that's when they were made available (generally) to us. If a live track was played on radio, it's included (Not For You on SNL, Betterman off the Atlanta radio broadcast)

If anyone's interested, here's what I came up with (216 songs total)

Mammasan tape
First Week Of Rehearsals tape
Rough Mixes tape
Ten
Alone (Lost Dogs version)
Wash (B-Side to Evenflow single)
Wash (Lost Dogs version)
I've Got A Feeling
Footsteps (B-Side of Jeremy Single)
Footsteps (Lost Dogs version)
Yellow Ledbetter (Jeremy)
Alive (Video Version)
Let Me Sleep/Ramblings
Evenflow (Video Version)
Dirty Frank (B-Side to Evenflow)
Dirty Frank (Lost Dogs version)
Jeremy (Edit)
Breath
State of Love and Trust (Singles)
Oceans (Remix)
Sonic Reducer/Ramblings 2
Bee Girl
Crazy Mary
Vs.
Hard To Imagine (Lost Dogs version)
Whipping (Vs. Demo)
Alone
Elderly Woman...(Acoustic) (Both B-Sides off Go Single)
Angel/Ramblings 3
Hold On
Corduroy (Demo)
Betterman (4/6/94)
Not For You (SNL Version)
Vitalogy
Jeremy (New Version)
Bronze Lighter
I Got ID/Long Road
History Never Repeats/Sonic Reducer (live)/Swallow My Pride/My Way
Leavin' Here
Gremmie Out Of Control
No Code
All Night
Don't Gimme No Lip
Black,Red, Yellow (B-Side to Hail Hail Single)
Black, Red, Yellow (Lost Dogs version)
Dead Man
Habit (Remix)
Olympic Platinum/Smile (Live)
Happy Whan I'm Crying
Yield
Leatherman
U (B-Side to Wishlist)
U (Lost Dogs Version)
Last Kiss/Soldier of Love
Whale Song
Hard To Imagine (Chicago Cab Soundtrack)
Strangest Tribe/Driftin'
Puzzles And Games
Binaural
Sad
Education
Sweet Lew
Hitchhiker
In The Moonlight
Fatal
Harmony
Foldback
Thunderclap
Crown Of Thorns/Can't Help Falling In Love
Last Soldier (Live)/Indifference/Gimme Some Truth/I Just Want Something To Do
Riot Act
4/20/02
Down (B-Side to I Am Mine)
Down
Undone (Both Los Dogs versions)
Don't Believe In Christmas/Sleepless Nights
Other Side (B-Side to Save You)
I'm Still Here
Brother (Instrumental)
Strangest Tribe
Drifting (All of Lost Dogs)
Man Of The Hour
Reach Down (Live)/I Believe In Miracles
Once
Alive
State Of Love And Trust
Animal
Black
Who You Are (All Rearviewmirror versions)

I think this is pretty close, but if there are any glaring errors/have any questions, I'd appreciate it if you spoke up.

I was actually thinking of doing a song list, so you've saved me a bit time.

I wanted to get all the songs I've dotted around on singles etc.. onto 1 disc for easyness to listen to.

I had something like 350+ Pearl Jam songs on my iPod (obviously repeats of a few songs from live shows). And then my iPod up and died. So now i have zero pearl jam songs, or any songs on my iPod, and it will cost me $250 to get it to work again. But thats not the point.

Dude, that is an intensely organized list, you rule.

You should put a library.htm or playlist.htm on line somewhere for people to try to import into iTunes or something.

I bought an external hard drive to story my library upon so that, in the event my iPOD dies, I'll have a back up of the entire catalog. Now all I have to do is sit down for 12 minutes per CD and actually build the library and store the mp3s. I only have 4 CDs in my library (on the external hard drive) and haven't attempted to put anything onto the (U2) ipod, yet.

I have everything on cd, then i put it on the network walkman(sony ipod). So therefore even if Network walkman(sony ipod) goes by by, i still have my cd's 8)

I'm not 100% on the title, but I think it's an improv from the '95 US tour.

**EDIT*** OK, it's 'Seven years Waiting' from the 11-01 show.

I'm with you on the Sony IPOD, I got mine a month ago and then they decide to release a version that doesn't have to be recorded in ATRAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right after I toiled with whether to record 256kbp or 132, 150 CDs in and I don't think I'm doing all that ripping again, sooooo annoying.

But it still pisses all over the IPOD
