After watching pearl jam perform 32 songs from 4th row center last night, after listening to RATS, HARD TO IMAGINE & LEASH, after watching mike on eddies shoulders, I didnt think anything could top that.

I WAS WRONG.

I was fortunate enough to meet them at their hotels once again.. First came Jeff Matt and Boom. Matt and Boom both stopped and spoke to some fans.. Matt signed my 'avocado' CD.. Jeff looked really tired and walked right in (his hands were also full)

Mike pulled up and took some pics with me and my friends... He was extremely nice and asked us where we were from and how we liked tonights show.. He was the friendliest and spent the most time talking to us. A friend of mine from Italy told mike he saw him last at the Verona show. Mike said he remembered the venue clearly and it was one of the most beautiful places hes ever played. Very surprising since with a hot pie of pizza in his hands.. (pics to follow..)

Eddie pulled up an hour later, and the bodyguard warned us to stay away.. Some fans ran away the moment they saw his bodyguard (maybe a bad experience in the past) Eddie was extremely drunk and could barely walk. He was stumbling into the lobby.

5 minutes later Stone pulled up in a cab and spoke to us too. He was actually surprised we recognized him (it was 430am).. I told him i loved his singing tonight and he thanked me.. He took some pics with us and he went inside..

I cant believe how nice and friendly the band has become over the years. I've read so many stories in the past where they avoid interacting with fans. Its great how they spend time and actually speak with them now.

I will post some pics from the show and meeting the band soon..

{UPDATE: Heres my album from the show. The last few pictures are with Stone and Mike:

In a few years he and I will be sharing a room at the Betty Ford Clinic, I think.

In just about every account I read on here about fans meeting the band, they always say this. Seems like Mike is by far the most affable.

That's good for you but I don't see the appeal in talking to total strangers (face to face I guess recognizng this is an anonymous messageboard). I love the music and they seem like nice guys but I can't imagine what I would say if I ran into them and I can't imagine anything more awkward... I'm not trying to be a dick or rain on your parade - I just don't get it...

Thats actually a bit distressing to me. Waaaaaay more 'rock star' than I want to picture Ed. He's 41, a rock icon, an outspoken humanitarian, a husband and a dad, I kinda hope this was unusual for him.

Who knows. Everyone has those nights from time to time.
I'm guessing a guy like Ed knows thousands of people who all want to hang out with him after the shows. When your cool and famous I'm guessing people take care of ya' (buying drinks, etc.).
I guess I don't see it as being a big deal...

STOP.. STOP.. STOP THE MADNESS... In all honesty, the guy just finished the first leg of the tour.. Its not like everyone posts that they see this guy every day staggering and cant walk.. The guy just left it all on the stage, and looked like he and the band had a wonderful time doing it.. So he got banged up and coulnt walk a straight line.. He is human and he is allowed to let off steam just like anyone of us.. Who cares if he is a Dad, a rock icon and outspoken humanitarian.. whatever, the guy had too much to drink.. This could be said for any single one of us at any point.. If reading that post about him staggering in ruins your impression of the guy you seriously need to take a look at reallity..

Congrats on meeting the band.. I am happy for you,, Dont let anyone ruin your moment ..
