Not only do they know 100+ songs that they can play while touring as PJ, but they're all also in side project bands.

AT's a shitload of songs to remember. How do they do it?

Amazing.

Well, it's not like they have other jobs...

They aren't the most complicated songs...

You're giving Ed too much credit. He still can't remember Even Flow.

Forget EV. Matt Cameron is what makes this band tick.

Sure, its another excuse to love the band, but its not a big deal. When you've been playing some songs for 10 years, it just comes, I'm sure.

Plus there are a lot of bands that have been around for years and are able to keep playing songs. Even bands that reunite have to pick up their songs again.

What amazes me isn't that they know how to play all these songs, it's that they HAVE all these songs. Their catalog is overfuckingwhelming and out of all those songs, only a handful suck really bad and just a number are just mediocre. A significant quantity ranges from very good to outstanding and of these some are the best in 20 years.

Additionally the band is so good live, they can elevate the lamest material.

It's remarkable.

There are artists with more music but they're older. If Pearl Jam keeps this up imagine the future?

It is a job like any other job, you compile "how to" on any possible thing needed and can pull it out of your ass at the drop of the hat. Imagine that "how to" was the hundreds of songs that the band has put together. Much better than knowing how to reassign someone to a network printer. Man, real work fuckin' sucks.

It would be cool if you could stop by at least once to check it out, so you can at least tell me it is a big piece of crap. Thanks.

Thing that surprises me is that Ed doesnt fuck the lyrics up TOO much when hes chopped a whole bottle of vino. Give me a bottle of plonk and I'm no chance.
