I haven't listened to this song in a good while. If I hear it in the right mood, it can make my eyes well up.

the transition from the end of Soon Forget to the beginning of Parting Ways gets me every time.

Soon Forget is the only song from the Binaural sessions that could have come before Parting Ways. Excellent track ordering on the band/Ed's part.

Sleight of Hand - Soon Forget - Parting Ways is some brilliant ordering

I was thinking about how great this is. Quiet end of Soon Forget and dramatic start to Parting Ways.
Tremendous.

I'm bumping this thread because I can't find the RMer's cover PJ thread where we talk about how awesome Shaun's cover of Parting Ways is.

This song is great, btw.

I can't say I like it better than the original PJ version, but I listen to Shaun's way more than the PJ version. That doesn't make sense. Shaun's is just so haunting and beautiful.

it's my favorite song to ever come out of any of these tournaments.

5 stars fo sho. I have had some pretty positive reactions to this song. are there sitars on it?
I think this embodies where the 'muddy' production of the record works well! (where it is such a controversial thing with many fans) This has such a great ambiance live too!

I had completely forgotten (until now, when skimming through TFT), that this was apparently soundchecked during the No Code Euro tour. Is that correct? I wanna say that I have that soundcheck on a cassette *somewhere* at my parent's house

Ed sings, but he clearly doesn't have lyrics in place yet - the melody is there, however. And hey, Jack Irons on Parting Ways!

That whole soundcheck is amazing, it has a really cool version of Garden (a song very infrequently played with Jack) and a 10-minute jammed out rehearsal on Hard to Imagine (a song never performed live with him - though it would've been great, if the tape is any indication).
